About Christianbook
Christianbook began in 1978 when two teenage brothers started selling discounted academic books from their parents’ house. By 1981, the business had expanded so much that the brothers leased some space in the nearby town of Peabody, Mass. The company is still in Peabody, but it is now in a dedicated, 240,000-square-foot building. In addition to books, the company sells music, gifts, DVDs, toys, and homeschooling materials. The founders are members of the Assemblies of God, and much of their merchandise will especially appeal to evangelical Christians. In recent years, they have reached out to the Roman Catholic market and now sell Catholic Bibles and many selections from Ignatius Press and Memoria Press.
